Think ‘Urban Industrial Chic’ – Lisa and Richard

Published September 11, 2017 in Weddings

Lisa and Richard – the epitome of urban chic, style and general ‘coolness’ – and at the same time the most awesome couple to have worked with. Being a part of your Jozi magnificence was such a treat, but even better than that was being a part of this beautiful, emotional, genuine love story. You come from such special families and I am so touched that I was made to feel like I fitted right in and was such an integral part of your day. The incredible service providers for thsi special day were: Bride’s dress: Pronovias from De La Vida […]

Sharon and Byron’s wedding

Published September 21, 2016 in Weddings

Sharon and Byron’s wedding was picture perfect  and I could wax lyrical…but I have left that to the bride…so in Sharon’s words: Our day was set to rain. We had made provisions for this but on the day, the sun came out to play and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. As all the ladies cackled and primped in the salon, the boys had begun their celebrations and were preparing the groom not 10 ft away. This was fun as it turned into a little cat and mouse game to keep the bride and her entourage concealed. Then it […]

Emma and Julian

Published August 14, 2016 in Weddings

Emma and Julian got married at Eagle’s Cry, between two tall palms at the edge of Dudley Pringle Dam – an absolutely amazing setting for an awesome couple. They got married late in the afternoon with no sunset or late afternoon light like they had been spoilt with on their Engagement Shoot , but the contrast was just perfect and we had so much fun ,whether shooting knee deep in the dam or waist high in the grass. Thank you so much to both Emma and Julian for and your bridal party for being so willing to ‘play’! A day […]

Shea and Norman

I am such a softy when it comes to displays of genuine emotion, tight family and big love. I could have blogged this wedding without a single ‘traditional’ shot and only posted the tearjerkers. I honestly didn’t know where to start when writing about this wedding save to say that more than once I was very happy to have a camera to hide behind so that the the tears pouring down my cheeks would not be visible to all around me, so instead of me trying to write I asked Lauren, Shea’s mum to tell you about the wedding.. “Firstly […]
